What is Steam? Steam is the movement of great deals of "smart money" throughout the various shops across the country. "Steam" occurs when there is a sudden overload of money placed at multiple locations. Steam can originate due to a Sports Service with a HUGE following on a big game, but in most cases occurs due to betting groups, betting syndicates and a few key players with the resources to "get down heavily" at multipe locations, all at once. "Steam" is not necessarily the "line move" as in many cases, the line moves due to public opinion.
